We got our biggest win of the season on Sunday taking out 7rom 12-2 (yes we beat SF 12-0, but they only showed three, this was against a full squad). Our starters were me (wb), amps (wb), leaky (wb) and bong (wb) while expo (wb) subbed in. 7rom went with Pers (wb, weasel), Dissertation (Lev), an innocent decoy (wb) and Omegared (weasel) with silly_n00b (wb) as their only sub.
We got off to a great start when amps killed Omegared after only 34 seconds. Two minutes later it was 2-0 us and 0-2 for Omegared when bong killed him. After that the key was knocking Omegared out to force the 4v3 advantage, which we got after six minutes when Leaky forced a teamkill. Although he also died too it was well worth it as we were 3-1 up and 7rom were a slot down.
After that it was a simple matter of pushing them back, burning their specials and knocking them out one by one. Pers was next to get eliminated, then innocent decoy, then silly_noob while we only suffered one death. The MVP was amps, who went 3-0 with 4 forced reps. Runner up was Leaky who went 2-1 with 1 KO, 5 assists and 2 forced reps. Not taken into account in the stats is the fact that Leaky forced two teamkills.
It was a good team performance with everyone who played getting at least one kill. Despite practice tailing off after two weeks of virtual inactivity (the no-show win over THZ followed by the bye week) we still came out and played well as a team, staying together well, backing each other up and forcing the pace. This win keeps us in touch with the playoff spots with the seeding rounds on the horizon.
