After no-showing against Secret last round Shadow were kicked out of the league. I'm not sure what the staff plan to do right now. If they waited after Gamed dropped last week instead of replacing them with Ballistics they could of realigned the divisions. I think it was obvious that Shadow were going to no-show again on Sunday and would have to be dropped.

Now they have to find a replacement from somewhere and if the mess getting Balls to drop down is anything to go by it's not going to be easy

AML Round 4, Victimise 5-12 Fly-NDeath

I've had to re-format my PC this week for the third time this year which is why the match report is late. The game went pretty much the way as the first two as you'll see.

After two defeats against two of the favourites for the AML title we were expecting an easier time against FnD and I was expecting an easy win. It wasn't to be. The starters for us were ampheres, Leaky, bongman and me with Jim Morrison and Shadowseeker subbing in. FnD started with Cash Converter, Dongle, another dumbass and ZDeathX with Table Saw as their only sub.

The game started well for us. We were moving together and hitting our targets, although I was surprised how well FnD played as a team. We started quickly when Leaky killed another dumbass after 90 seconds and forced him to sub out. FnD tied it up when I got killed when a bomb and full shrap was repped into me. We quickly got the lead back though when Leaky killed Cash Converter, but FnD got a break with another rep death - this time on bongman - and then they took the lead for the first time when Table Saw killed ampheres. Then the fun started.

Jim Morrison subbed in for bong. This time we didn't totally collapse straight away, but we lost that push we had at the start of the match. After 15 minutes the score was tied at 4-4. Then FnD got three quick kills. One on me and two on Jim which knocked him out. The score was now 7-4 FnD and they had the slot advantage. That was as close as the score got for the rest of the match as FnD targeted us out and took the match 12-5. The MVP was ZDX who went 4-0 with 2 knockouts and 9 forced reps. Our best player was amps who went 3-3 with 1 assist and 4 forced reps.

It's noticeable that all three games that we've lost (four if you count the pre-season loss to Zeta) have followed the same script. I'm working on some stuff that will hopefully prevent this for next Sunday's match. That game is against Anarchists. Soon as I have a confirmed time I will post it here, right now it looks like it's going to be at 6est. Gamed Replaced

After their latest no-show in round 3 Gamed have been dropped and BALLISTICS have moved down from IML to replace them.

Balls will not be able to make the playoffs and have told the staff that they will only use bench players in matches, not their IML starters. You can read more about this here. We'll play them in round 13.

Personally I don't mind IML squads dropping down to play AML, but only if they split their roster. I've written a post about this on the PremBlog which you can read here.

AML Round 3, Victimise 2-12 Disavowed

Our second game and our second loss of the season. Having to face two of the favourites for the AML title and two IML playoff-level squads in DAMN_Yankees and Dis in our first two games was always going to be tough, but I'm disappointed that we didn't at least come out with at least one win. But as you'll see I only have myself to blame for yesterday's result.

We started ampheres, Shadowseeker, vorb and Leaky with bongman subbing in (more about that later), while Dis went with Blaze, Gold, MD and Olly as starters with Zosa, 9th, Plareplane and Ellis D. as subs.

We started well. The problems that we had last week against DAMN_Yankees seemed to have gone. We moved well together as a team and when Dis hit us we managed to regroup and hit back where last week we dropped back and got split up. The first kill was on me by Gold after I pb'd, but we didn't lose focus and tied it up when amps killed Gold. Then we subbed in bongman for Shad and that's where the fun began.

Shad specced and I PM'd the ref (Bronx+) to get bong in, but the ref was afk. While I was trying to do this we got separated and Leaky was killed by MD, then I was typekilled by Gold. Bong finally got in, but we had no shape at all and bong was killed by Gold to make it 4-1 Dis.

By then I had lost it completely and was on target for my biggest choke since my key sub against Unforeseen back in the season 6 semi's. I was talking shit with Bronx, I was talking shit with Dis (specially Kat), I was nearly banned by Demi and of course I died out. At 6-1 down, 3v4 down and with their captain out of his tree we were never going to recover. We only got one more kill and Dis went on to win comfortably 12-2. The MVP was Blaze who went 4-1 with 1 knockout, 1 assist and 3 forced reps. Our best player was ampheres. She went 2-3 with 3 forced reps.

The good news is that it gets easier from now on. Next weekend's match is Against Fly-NDeath. I've already started scheduling and will post here when I have a confirmed time. Finally some links from the game:

I've added all the screenshots that were on the old website, click the link on the right to check them out. All that's left to do now is to clean up all the old playing guides and history pages then link to them in the about us section. I'll try and get that done in the next few days.

Update

The logs, roster, join and results/stats sections are now working. Next to do is the screenshots and about us pages. Should be done by the end of the weekend.

I'll probably put up a temporary about us section while I do some work on the history pages and playing guides from the old geocities website.

A New Home

OK, so I may have gone a little blog crazy, but I've decided to take the Vic website off geocities and bring it here. I was going to use some webspace from DAW, but for what I need I think that ebloggy can handle everything, plus I can give other people posting rights. It will take a few days to get everything over. I'm going to keep our Proboards forums, our Yahoo group and still use geocities for the Log Bank.

Victimise finished the pre-season on Sunday with a 12-6 win over Oracle X to finish with a 3-1 record heading into the first regular season game this weekend against Blasphemy.

We started bongman, ampheres, Shadowseeker and Leaky while I came on as sub. OX went with Lectrik, Federation, Mitsubishi and DMD then subbed in chaoticsky, Myrer and AnalIntruder. We started the stronger, holding a 5-2 lead, with two of their slots on their last life, after 15 minutes. OX by then had subbed in Myrer and cs and with more of their regular starters playing they pulled the score back to 5-5.

But the next kill by us was bongman on Myrer to give us the 4v3 advantage. From that point on we were in control and OX only managed to get one more kill as we targeted them out. Amps got the MVP going 5-2 with 1 KO and 1 forced rep. Runner up was bongman who went 3-1 with 1 KO, 3 assists and an awesome 9 forced reps. Recognition should also go to OX's chaoticsky who was their highest ranked player. Despite subbing in with only one life he still went 3-1 with 1 forced rep. This was one of vic's most successful pre-seasons ever. We finished with the equal third best record in the league and amps was the third highest ranked player. I was also pleased that we managed to get 10 pilots playing time. Check back on the website to find out what time our first regular season game will be played and I'll also post our full schedule.
