The RZJPL part of the results/stats section is now up, use the link on the menu to check it out. I should get the 2v2 and Gladiator League stuff finished by the end of the week.
SSForum.net has put up an arcade. Make a profile, choose a game then try to get yourself on the high-score tables. Just don't bother to play Pacman though, I'll own you.
Squad practice has been going well so far and we've had some good games. We've still got a long way to go before we're the finished article but we already have an active core of players who are starting to build teamwork. I was hoping to take a screenshot of our first prac and add it to the website to mark our return, but none of the ones I took looked that good. I'll try and get one up soon.
I've been playing around with the forums a bit. I've added a comments section. just click the link below each news item if there's anything you want to add (any posts about my spelling will be deleted). I've also added a trash talk forum. So let the flame wars begin.
I feel like singing. I'M FREE!. First squad practice is today at 5pm EST.
I've finally started work on finishing the website. Today I've done all the Premier League stuff for the results/stats section. I'm now working on the RZJPL section which will be up before the start of the new season. After that I'll get the Gladiator League section up before season 5 gets underway. I'll get 2v2 done last as we're not going to be playing that now anytime soon. The MSHL section will be the easiest part to get up since we didn't play any games all there is to upload is our roster, but I'll have to dig around in our mailing list to find it.
After that I'll flesh out the logs section and put up the sign-up page. I haven't done that last one yet as since we're not practicing as a team until my ban is up there's no real point in recruiting new players. Finally that leaves the roster page to finish. I still intend to put up season-by-season stats for all the 60+ past and present members of Victimise. I hope to have it done by the time the new AML season starts. Guess I better start stocking up on the beer and cigs now for that one.
I know what you're thinking. This 2v2 system of picking matches at gametime is all very well, but what happens if an odd number of teams show? Well we found out yesterday. The odd team turned out to be us and we didn't get a match, despite being the most consistently showing team in the league. That was the last straw for me and Vic won't play 2v2 again this season or put a squad in for next season.
Instead we'll play RZJPL so check back here for news as the league re-starts. Also my Premier League ban is up this Thursday and from then on Vic will start to practice as a squad again in preparation for AML season 11.
Yesterday we played reigning 2v2 champions Katana for the second time and for the second time we lost in two games, this time going down 5-0. In game 1 we started jeep and Ohms against Euripedes and elmo. We played strong against them, but Katana held the advantage throughout the game and showed good targeting to put out jeep. At 2v1 Ohms didn't last long. Katana played the same pair for game 2 while we started Kyre and HarryHood. This one was shorter as Katana forced us back and got us trapped in a corner to clear the box. Due to a log problem I don't have any match stats.
In other news RZJPL is coming back with round 1 of pre-season pencilled in for next Saturday. Victimise will be competing (we'll probably play this instead of 2v2). The league website is under development and not up yet, but you can check out all the league news at the RZJPL forum hosted on the Warzone website.
Guess what, we played an actual 2v2 match yesterday. I know, I'm surprised as anyone. We were matched up with Elite and lost 6-0 in two games. The result isn't really a shock as we haven't been practicing at all and we didn't even warm up for the match. Snail and spiked played both games and for those of you who are interested you can check out all the match stats here.
Some good news from Dueling league for a change. The staff finally seem to be reorganised and although season 7 has been a disaster things look more hopeful for season 8 with a brand new website and a league database similar to how MasterRater works in Premier League. For more details check out the new DZ website. Looks like the staff will bring season 7 to a close pretty quickly now and start the new season as soon as possible. I'm not 100% sure whether Vic will be putting a squad in for season 8. I'm in the process of talking to the rest of the squad to see who's interested and who will actually show to matches. Our priority is AML so if we're not going to show for 2v2 games then it's not worth our while playing.
